"As an impressionable young lad I was introduced to Wendy O Williams up late watching the classic comedy TV show Friday’s. The Plasmatics played live as the musical guest fronted by Wendy screaming in her fervent vocal style, blowing up cars, chainsawing guitars in half, and smashing TVs with a sledgehammer, expressing her disdain for consumerism and capitalism. I’d never seen anything like it before. She was the first to cross over punk and metal infused thrash music.
